The mission of the Owen D. Young Central School is to provide an excellent educational environment in which all students can achieve success and become contributing citizens.
Due to safety concerns on Route 80, we are asking all parents who drop off and pick up their children to no longer stand/park on Route 80 in front of the school. Please use the partking lot across the road entering on the north end and exiting the south end (closes to the house). There will be reserved parking for people needing to park. Faculty and staff members helping to direct traffic in the drop off zone as well as a crossing guard to help guide students across the road and over to the school. For more information please see Mr. Fahey's letter home that also includes a map with the new traffic flow.
On Friday, November 4, 2016, State Senator Seward stopped at ODY for a visit. The Senator received a tour of the school where he visited several classrooms talking with teachers and students. Shown are images from his visit to Mrs. Beam's Second Grade class (left) and Mr. Hutchinson's College Now Government course.
