Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES has started accepting applications for prekindergarten programs located at multiple Herkimer County school districts for the 2024-25 school year, including the Owen D. Young School District. You must be a resident of the district in order to enroll your student in the pre-K program at ODY.
The pre-K program provides opportunities for positive intellectual, social, emotional and physical development for children who are three and four years of age, with the targeted outcome being a successful transition to kindergarten.
The program is free to families. Eligibility factors including income and family circumstances are considered for some programs.

There will also be a 2024 Summer Pre-K program available at the Little Falls secondary school from July 10 to Aug. 14 (tentative dates) for ages 3-5.
