College: SUNY Oswego
2002 Undergraduate Degree, Interpersonal Communication
2008 Graduate Degree, School Counseling

In 2003, using her Undergraduate degree in Communications, Ms. Soper took a job as an Advertising Account Executive with the Observer-Dispatch Newspaper in Utica, NY.

In 2006, she decided that she wanted to pursue a graduate degree in the education field and School Counseling felt like the perfect fit. She completed internships at Ilion CSD (Now CVA), and Canajoharie CSD.

She started her School Counseling Career at Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School in Utica. She's worked at Canajoharie High School, and here at Owen D. Young Central School.

One of her favorite things about being here at Owen D. Young is working with students in all grade levels...there is always something new to experience, and the daily work of a K-12 School Counselor is never boring!

Outside of school, she enjoys working on home projects, gardening, kayaking & fishing during the summer. She is also involved with Forever Home Greyhound Adoption, an organization from which she has adopted her own retired Greyhounds. Through this agency she and her partner Mr. Williams serve as a foster family for greyhounds looking for their retirement home! They've had over 40 foster Greyhounds come through their home over the past few years. They find it to be lots of fun and very rewarding! She is also an Apprentice Falconer, and hopes to be hunting with a Red-tailed Hawk this fall!
