First-graders visited the Albany Pine Bush Preserve and Discovery Center in April where they learned about the unique plant life and animal residents that call the pine barrens environment their home.

The students engaged in interactive exhibits and enjoyed an adventure-filled activities connecting with nature.

The Albany Pine Bush Discovery Center, sponsored by Trustco, is the gateway to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, providing visitors with interactive exhibits and activities. You are invited to explore the preserve's geologic and cultural significance, examine the plants and animals that live in this landscape, study preserve management principles, and consider human impacts on this sensitive landscape.
