ODY Blood Drive flyer: Share Your Big Hearts. Give Blood

Give the gift of life! The ODY Student Council is stepping up to help replenish the local supply by hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive from 1-5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19 in the school auditorium. View/Download the flyer

The American Red Cross issued a nationwide plea in January for blood and platelet donations as extreme winter weather combined with a severe flu season and other factors have depleted the current blood supply by about 35 percent.

Keep in mind, every 2 to 3 seconds, someone in our nation is in need of blood. This is an opportunity for high school students, staff and the ODY community to come together to donate and support the good work of the Red Cross.

Students who are 16 and older are eligible to donate. Those under the age of 17 will need a permission slip signed by a parent/guardian. Read about general guidelines for teenage donors, including height and weight requirements

For more information, see Ms. Wilbur or ask a Student Council member. Visit the Red Cross website to make your appointment today!
