As required by state education law, the Owen D. Young Central School District maintains a District-Wide Safety Plan that outlines the district’s response to incidents or emergencies that impact safety of students, teachers and staff, and the security of its building and grounds.
The district’s safety team is responsible for reviewing and updating the safety plan each year, and making it available for community review and public comment. The plan will be reviewed for public input at our Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 8 in the Founder's Study at 6:30 p.m.
A draft of the 2026-2027 District-Wide Safety Plan will be available for review prior to its adoption. View the 2026-2027 District-Wide Safety Plan
All comments, questions and suggestions about the proposed District-Wide Safety Plan should be emailed to Superintendent Brennan Fahey before the July Board of Education meeting.
