ODY On the Run Team and coaches stand together in front of a brick school building

After eight weeks of dedication, perseverance and hard work, our Wildcats on the Run students successfully completed their final Fun Run event alongside the Fort Plain Elementary Toppers on the Run team. Hosted in partnership with the Village of Fort Plain, the event brought together students, families and community members to celebrate the accomplishments of our young runners.

Throughout the program, students trained for a 5K while developing not only their physical endurance, but also important life skills such as grit, determination, teamwork and goal setting. Their commitment to the program was evident as they proudly crossed the finish line and showcased the progress they made over the past two months.

The final event was a wonderful display of community support, with families and local residents cheering on the runners and celebrating their achievements. "Seeing students run alongside the Fort Plain Toppers on the Run team made for a memorable and inspiring experience for everyone involved," shared On the Run Coach Erin Folts.

Coach Folts, joined by Assistant Coach Jessica Pollock, worked closely with the students throughout the program and are incredibly proud of their dedication, growth and success. The Wildcats on the Run program is positive opportunity for students to build healthy habits, confidence and lasting connections through fitness.
