Mrs. Folts' fourth grade class recently experienced a fun themed day! Students learned about different literary genres and participated in a Book Tasting, where they explored all levels of books and discovered topics that matched their interests. 🍩📚
In ELA, students practiced their Stop & Jot strategy while reading a passage about the history of doughnuts. This strategy requires that students purposely stop to jot down important thoughts and information while they read. 📝📖
The class also started learning cursive! Students were introduced to cursive letters and practiced their new writing skills. ✍️
Of course, Mrs. Folts added some Dunkin’ Donuts and a fun drink to the lesson! 🍩🧋 ODY's School Resource Officer even stopped by to join the fun and grab a donut! 👮♂️🍩
