Thanks to the Canajoharie-Fort Plain Elks Lodge #2621, each fourth grader at ODY now has their own kid-friendly dictionary to explore new words, grow as writers and become more active readers.

Each year, the local Elks Club members give these books to elementary students through the Dictionary Project—one of the many ways they volunteer in the community.

Thank you, Elks, for this annual gift! You’re helping our students build literacy skills they can keep growing throughout their school years.
