ODY fourth graders learned all about Election Day, why voting is important, and how every vote counts! After learning about the voting process, students had the opportunity to register and fill out their very own ballots before casting their votes in a contest to decide favorite foods.
The election settled some all-important food debates, as illustrated by the results below:
Cake beat Donuts!
French Fries beat Onion Rings (with a 10–2 victory)!
Ice Cream Cone beat Milkshake!
Hamburger beat Hot Dog!
Such a fun and meaningful way to learn about democracy and civic duty. We are proud of our future voters!
