
The Owen D. Young Pool will open for open swim on Thursday, June 27th. Pool hours will be: Monday-Thursday 2:30-6:00 pm, Friday and Saturday noon - 5pm. The pool will be closed on Sunday's.

LAST DAY OF REGULAR CLASSES FOR GRADES 6-12 IS MONDAY, JUNE 17 .... MONDAY, JUNE 17 is the last day of regular classes for students in grades 6-12. Students must attend school until June 17. After June 17, students in grades 6-12 only need to attend school if they have a scheduled review class or Regents exam. Students will be able to sign up in the guidance office for transportation to and from school as needed, from June 18 - June 25.

Sharon Springs 3rd Grade joined ODY's 3rd grade class for a visit to our Nature Trail! The students were able to meet new friends, show teamwork skills, and share a little background about the trail from their research! Ms. Folts was happy to be able to collaborate with another local school district this year to share with them more about the local history and communities.





Our Juniors hosted an Enchanted Garden themed Prom at the Barn at Hogs Hollow. There was excellent music provided by Lisa Eissler and delicious food from Tuller’s catering. They danced the night away on this wonderful evening. A huge thank you to all that helped make the evening a success!




Congratulations to our RSODY softball team! They are the 2024 TRI-VALLEY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! On to sectionals next week. Way to go, ladies!

Our 10th grade students are learning about nutrition, recipes, and the importance of measurements in Health class. Today they tested out their recipes and learned about the nutrients and calories in the different combinations they came up with.





3rd graders participated in a GLOW DAY! They worked on reading and math skills and enjoyed some time with the sphero robots. "Today you will Glow when you show what you know!"






Learning is Electrifying! The Kindergarteners learned about static electricity with Mr. Pollock.









PreK through 3rd grade students had a visit from Tulip the calf in honor of Ag Literacy week! Accompanying Tulip were Mr. and Mrs. Doody who read a book to the students and gave each student their very own book to keep! Thank you Doody family!

Pre-K invited Mrs. Tucker to be a guest reader this past week.

3rd grade has been actively engaged in PARP and Read Across America month. The students have been dedicating time to listening to stories and having discussions in regards to themes, moods, and overall plots. Students are voting on their favorite books and at the end of the month will have a "Book of the Year" winner!



2nd grade launched their Time Unit with reviewing time to the hour and half hour using Bee-Bots. They not only practiced their time, but also practiced coding and tracking the code they used.

The first graders replicated constellations out of spaghetti and marshmallows. Then they became Jr. Astronomers as they finished up their space unit.




6th graders dissected frogs today.



4th grade students are studying erosion. They did an experiment where they determined how the volume of water would affect the rate of erosion.



CFES sponsored a trip for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to visit Utica University for a tour, dinner, and a Utica Pioneers Hockey game!
